This charming capital city of the state of South Australia also lends its name to a wine zone. The name can be used on wine labels for wines that use grapes from the following wine regions in the Adelaide area: Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, Eden Valley, Langhorne Creek, and McLaren Vale.
