Bellet AC [behl-LAY]

A tiny appellation in France’s Provence region, located in the hills behind Nice near the French Riviera. It produces red, white, and rosé wines from the 100-plus acres that qualify for AC status. Red grapes are Cinsaut, Grenache, and the local varieties Braquet and Folle (or Fuelle) Noire. White grapes are the local Rolle (Vermentino) and small amounts of Chardonnay.
