Collioure AC [kol-YOOR]

Small appellation that comprises the vineyards surrounding the villages of Collioure and Port-Vendres in France’s Languedoc-Roussillon region along the Mediterranean near the Spanish border. Collioure AC produces full-bodied (see body) red wines based primarily on Grenache and blended with Carignan, Cinsaut, Mourvèdre, and Syrah.
