Diamond Mountain AVA
A 5,000-acre California viticulture area located on Diamond Mountain in the Mayacamas Range. Established in 2001, this small subzone is in the northwestern part of the Napa Valley AVA. It runs west and is south of the town of Calistoga. Approximately 500 acres are planted to mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Zinfandel. Sterling Vineyards has made wines from its Diamond Mountain vineyards for a number of years.
