Dienheim [DEEN-hime]
An important wine-producing town located just south of Oppenheim in the Rheinhessen region. Although overshadowed by the reputation of Oppenheim, Dienheim is nonetheless recognized for producing high-quality wines from Riesling and Sylvaner. Vineyards attached to Dienheim are found in grosslagen Oppenheimer Krötenbrunnen and Güldenmorgen. The better einzellagen associated with Dienheim include Falkenberg, Herrengarten, and Tafelstein.
