Henty

An Australian wine region located in the Western Victoria Zone of Victoria. It’s situated a little over 185 miles west of Melbourne around the towns of Hamilton and Portland in the southwest portion of the state (Henty is sometimes referred to as Far South West Victoria). The very cool climate is just right for producing excellent Riesling and sparkling wines—made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier (Meunier). Warmer sections of this region produce very good still wines as well, including Cabernet Sauvignon during better vintages.
