Richebourg AC [reesh-BOOR]
Located at the northern end of the village of Vosne-Romanée in the Côte de Nuits, Richebourg is one of the great Burgundian grand cru vineyards. Its 19.8 acres are planted with Pinot Noir, and the red wines that are produced here are some of the best in the world. The largest and most famous of the twelve different parcel owners is the domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The wines from the Richebourg vineyards are said to be richer and more deeply colored than those from the famous neighboring vineyards Romanée-Conti and La Tâche, although they are not quite as perfumed or elegant.
