An aroma reminiscent of flowers, such as violets, citrus blossoms, or roses. This impression can also be sensed on the palate. floral characteristics are more likely to be found in white wines like Johannisberg Riesling and Gewürztraminer than in reds, although those made from Nebbiolo grapes are known to be suggestive of violets.
