How Winery Discounts Work
Wineries have the ability to give a percentage discount on orders of x-amount of bottles or more, or they can offer 1¢ shipping on cases (orders of bottles in multiples of 12: 12, 24, 36,…), or both!
Percentage Discounts
Percentage discounts are dependent on orders of a set amount of bottles or more. The winery dictates how many bottles will qualify for the discount as well as the amount of the discount.
For example:
Order at least 5 bottles from Example Winery and all bottles in your order that are from Example Winery will be discounted 15%.
1¢ Shipping on Cases
A winery may also choose to offer 1¢ ground shipping on cases (a case of wine consists of 12 bottles). The discount applies to mixed cases as well though they must all come from the same winery which is offering one cent shipping. One cent shipping offers do not apply to expedited shipping methods. The following breakdown is an example of how shipping would be calculated on an order qualifying for 1¢ shipping:
1–3 bottles, $15
4–6 bottles, $20
7–11 bottles, $25
12 bottles, 1¢
13–15 bottles, $15.01
16–18 bottles, $20.01
19–23 bottles, $25.01
24 bottles, 2¢
