Wow. I was very pleasantly surprised by this Chardonnay - typically reserve says to me that the wine has spent a lot more time in oak. . . which leads me to believe the wine will taste like wood chips and stale grass cuttings. AND this wine is the FARTHEST thing from that. On the nose it's tart green apple, with a hint of buttery oak, and then pineapple! The palate is a little different in that it's more mellow than the tartness on the nose would have you believe. It tastes like fresh baked banana bread, and camp toasted marshmallows. SO GOOD.
