The color of this wine is incredible - not so dark that you can't see through it, and just red enough to be juicy. I found the nose to be somewhat of a conundrum - it smells a bit of sour kraut at first but belies it's nature by coming through like pear juice, shortly after. In the palate the wine reminds me of becoming overly excited about the first vegetables that pop up in my garden. . . it comes across as a "not quite ripe" green bell pepper with hints of asparagus as well. It was very light bodied and had a lingering finish, though I'm not sure the finish is one that I would like to see again. It was a bit smoky or ashy to me. Hmmph
