Dark purple color with aromas of oak, tobacco and vanilla segues to the complex taste of black cherry and cola, with overtones of black pepper. Gentle tannins pinch the back of the throat as the taste lingers on the palate. SOLD OUT!
Vintage Notes
We were prompted to change the name of our Hilltop Selection by a major winery that didn’t like our using the word “Hilltop” on our label (they claimed it was their name). We saw it as an opportunity to honor our deserving winemaker, Alison Doran. Hence, the name Alison’s Cuvée has replaced Hilltop Selection. While we do not feel that we impinged on anyone’s trademark, we decided not to take on a behemoth to prove our point. What’s really important is that the wine is the identical, delectable Merlot to which we add a dab of Petite Syrah and a lot of Alison’s magic, to bring you the cuvee that wine quaffers have been enjoying for years.
