Cabernet Sauvignon
Waugh Cellars
The wine is a mouthful of bright blackberry fruit, which shows a richness and softness in the middle palate. silky tannins deliver another burst of fruit as the wine’s finish shows all the varietal characteristics of classic Cabernet Sauvignon both in structure and aging potential. This wine will be an excellent match for darker sauces, which include mushroom reductions, or for your choice of beef. My choice is an herbed roast of aged beef on the rotisserie.

Vintage Notes
The 2005 vintage continues our wonderful blend of Oakville, Mt. Veeder and Pritchard Hill fruit. This year however marks a milestone for our Cabernet Sauvignon as it’s the first vintage to not be 100% Cabernet. For the past few years we’ve been waiting on a small section of the Mt. Veeder vineyard planted to Cabernet Franc and 2005 introduces it to the blend.

A nice bottle, enjoy
This Cab has good oak, and rich vanilla laced within the aroma and taste. Very lush and very nice follow through
Solid

The Bomb
The Oak Bomb, as our friend Denise said on first sip! The nose is black peppercorns and vanilla mixed with toasty oak, and there is a nice meaty component on the mouth feel. Notes of bacon blend with cherry Jolly Rancher-esque flavors on the finish. Classically tasty!
One time only
Remember that time, when you came home late from work and I was cooking up that spicy Szechuan meal, with all the bell peppers and black pepper spice, then I poured you that Vanilla Martini and we stared at each other while the smoke alarm went off? That was a hot night, but just juicy enough to …(view more)
Summer time Cab
This cab is very delicious! From the pseudo Jolly Rancher aroma (yes, sweet, but not overkill) with bright cherry hints to the flavor profile which adds some vanilla to the aroma aspects this cab is certainly fruity and sweet, but not like Hi-C juice. As such, I think this cab is a great summer time …(view more)
