Vintage Notes
The Appellation and Vineyard
We source our Chardonnay grapes for this wine from vineyards that typify what we call the “heart” of the Russian River Valley. The soil is the famous sandy clay Goldridge series; it has a perfect combination of sand for good drainage and marine-influenced
clay. Warm days in the high 80s and cool nights in the mid-50s are influenced by fog that rolls in through the Russian River and Petaluma Gap. The result is well-balanced vines sprawling on picturesque rolling hills conducive to growing fruit with good acidity, as well as intense, rich flavors.
