Gewurztraminer, Anderson Valley
Bouchaine Vineyards
|
We have bottled 329 cases of a Gewürztraminer (Gewurztraminer) from an Anderson Valley vineyard renowned for this delightfully perfumed variety. It represents the dry dinner style of previous Bouchaine Gewürztraminers. “Gewürz” means “spicy” in German. "Traminer" refers to a family of grapes. Bouchaine winemaker Michael Richmond says, “spicy alone has never resonated with me as adequate to describe this wine. I find much more, like floral, honeysuckle and plumeria. I can see tropical fruit, like lychee and Asian pear, but not really spice cake nor chili peppers!"
